12th century

The first stones of the Chateau de Thau are laid at the very beginning of the English Aquitaine area.

At that time, Bordeaux wines were sent to the British court.

You could get there by boat thanks to the peyrat located below and decorated with two pavilions.

An inventory reveals that the cellar had three presses, two crushers, three vats and 8 douillats (these are also vats), 28 barrels full of "another red wine" and "21 barrels of beverage for the workers".

In 1700

In 1963

We are buying this emblematic chateau in Bourgeais, which fell into disrepair after the French Revolution, with the firm intention of restoring it to its grandeur.

There follows a heavy work of restructuring of the vines and the renovation of the cellars.

To allow the terroir to deliver the best of its potential, we use winemaking techniques combining modernity and traditions.
